| Chloe (“Baby”) is our first Tonkinese cat. She was purchased in 1999 from Pendragon Tonkinese. Baby is the sweetest, gentlest cat that we have had the privilege to be owned by. She tends to want to make friends with other cats and form a “putty ball” in order to snuggle up. Since our Mei Ling (traditional Siamese) died in 2004, she has now sought out Misha to be her current favorite napping companion (when I’m not available). She grooms his face fastidiously and has even licked his eyebrows off in the process! She is an “under the covers” kitty and insists on sleeping under the comforter with me each evening. When I get ready to go to bed, she runs alongside me as I make my way to the bedroom and jumps up on the bed just as I am getting in it. She gets along well with her human family and other cats in the household. Because she is a spay, she is not part of our breeding program but is a cherished pet. She is the reason why we became hooked on Tonkinese as a breed. |

| Gift-Of-Grace (“Gracie”) is our first breeder and a wonderful companion. We were originally supposed to be getting a different kitten, but when we saw all of the kittens, she was the fairest of them all and stood out from the rest. She looked like a little pearl sitting beside her mother, Pure As The Driven Snow (“Patd"). She was Patd’s only surviving kitten from her last litter of five kittens so that made her special to us. She is outgoing, inquisitive, and social. She has become Misha’s kitten as he is the only one of our adult cats to play with her like a kitten himself. He likes to call to Gracie in a special voice that lets her know he wants to play. Gracie loves to play with her mouse-on-a-string and will catch it and utter a low growl, warning all others that the mouse is hers! We showed Gracie in the kitten class and later in the champion class before she became hormonal. |

| Pure As The Driven Snow (“Patd”) is Gracie’s mother. When we first saw Patd, we thought she was the most beautiful Tonkinese we had ever seen. She has retained her light coloring and has not shaded with age the way many Tonks will. Her physical features display a sense of balance that is so important to this breed. She is lithe and muscular and would undoubtedly be a dancer if she were a human. She is surprisingly heavy to pick up and has a very solid feel to her. Patd tends to be our “alpha” cat in that she likes to be dominant in the household. Occasionally, she will chase Baby which will bring a scolding from us. Patd has a miniature pound puppy that she loves to toss in the air and then chase. Patd continues to be shown in the Premiership class. |
